School Policies, Terms & Conditions

Enrolment
Students must be enrolled before they may participate in a class. This is very important as teachers need to know students and class sizes in order to plan their classes.

All competitive solo dancers are also required to dance in the school ceili teams.

Satisfaction Guarantee
The first lesson acts as a trial lesson after which we invite you to enrol.

Tuition
Tuition is based on a minimum 9-week term. Some terms are longer, but no extra charge is made. Competition and exam fees and NZ registration fees are charged separately. Invoices are generated for these.

Term Fees
Are to be paid at the start of term by due date on invoice.

Withdrawals & Refunds
To withdraw from classes a parent must give four weeks advance notice in writing or via email to enable us to offer the space to another student. Tuition must be paid through the four week notice period and will be refunded beyond this date.

Observing Classes
There is no observation of classes by parents as this is usually a distraction for children and unhelpful in the learning process. The last week of term parents are invited to watch their child's class to enjoy and see their progress.

Dance Uniform
Shorts and t-shirt together with correct shoes and poodle socks (girls) or short black socks (boys) must be worn to all classes, with girls hair tied back.

Competition and Performance Costumes
Beginner costumes are available for hire. The fee is $10 per competition/performance or $50 for the year.
Team costumes are available for hire. The fee is $200 per year. Performance costumes are to be purchased. The cost is $60-$100 per year. Solo costumes must be within the guidelines of TIDANZ and CLRG.

Attendance
Should your child be unwell or unable to attend class it would be very much appreciated if you would email or text to let us know. This is especially important for students travelling on their own from school to classes.

Care of Students
The school is not responsible for providing before or after class care for students. All care according to the health and safety guideline practices for Registered Teachers are observed by Gregan Irish Dancers however it assumes no responsibility for injuries or accidents during class time. Students are not to leave the studio unless accompanied by a parent or caregiver.
